History:  Improving a decommissioned library at 8946 Sepulveda Eastway has been a massive and lengthy understanding.  This building was purchased as our newest home in the city of Los Angeles since our arrival in 1871.  Physical fitness coupled with mental acuity, as stated in our motto A Sound Mind in a Sound Body, continues to be at the center of our philosophyA new home means new neighbors and new focus to our community involvement.  It also means new expenses to implement and maintain neighborhood needs.

Goals:  Offer our program of physical fitness and nutrition to children in our Westchester community who do not receive such instruction elsewhere or who can benefit by additional exercise, both physical and mental.  For youngsters involved in organized sports, training and conditioning can dramatically reduce playing field injuries.    A senior adults program is also in place to improve balance, flexibility and endurance as is instruction.  Throughout we are opening our doors to the community, inviting participation in activities that enhance the quality of life in an atmosphere of fun, sport and learning as well as benefiting others by sharing prosperity, compassion and friendship.

Our Needs:

·     Funds to enroll youngsters whose parents are unable to financially support fitness instruction

·     Funds to enroll seniors whose fixed income does not permit the cost of prevention rather than cure

·     Funds to support community activities designed to keep a Sound Mind in a Sound Body.

Our Request:  Your contribution, donation or grant to fund these programs is needed.  Whether you can support us with one dollar or join one of our planned giving plans, please help now.

Yes, I want to support the Los Angeles Turners with a donation.
